The Children of Lake Atitlan is a Non-Profit 501-c(3) Organization whose sole purpose is to provide support for children who attend the New Dawning Christian School in San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala.
Centro Maya Project is located in San Juan La Laguna Sololá, Guatemala. It is a social justice effort providing humanitarian, educational, and medical assistance to indigenous Mayan families whose daily struggle with extreme poverty is evidenced by malnutrition and illness.
Our founders, Sharon Smart-Poage, Dwight Poage and Patti Mort were living and working in rural Guatemala where they saw the great need of aid for impoverished families in rural areas.
